The Big Book of Best Practice 2023/24 is back for its 10th annual edition and is now available to view online.

The Big Book is a celebration of innovation and best practice from across the Trust. CWP's first ever Big Book of Best Practice was published 10 years ago in 2014 and featured a small number of case studies from across CWP. Since then, the book has continued to grow and develop, with this year’s book featuring 52 best practice case studies – the highest number to-date.

At the heart of every entry in the Big Book is quality improvement. CWP is building upon its improvement successes and capability, including strengths in training, co-production and staff engagement through CWPi - the Trust's quality management way of working. CWP is utilising the national approach carried out by NHS Impact and is now looking at how it can further embed a culture of continuous improvement and learning across all areas of the Trust.

The Big Book of Best Practice is all about sharing examples of these areas and how #TeamCWP colleagues have worked together to problem solve and find innovative solutions for the benefit of the people who use its services.

Staff from across CWP submitted almost 100 inspiring entries this year and the 52 entries that feature in the book were chosen because they demonstrate the highest levels of innovation and quality improvement, with clear evidence of how they have benefitted patients, carers and families.
