Two members of the clinical education team have received a prestigious Chief Nursing Officer Award.

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CWP) held a Celebration of Learning event in July to recognise staff achievements and how these will help the Trust to deliver high-quality, compassionate care. The event recognised CWP’s apprentices, management and leadership programmes, and functional skills qualifications.

Included in the day's festivities was the celebration of two Chief Nursing Officer Awards.

The Dame Ruth May Chief Nursing Officer Award recognises the vital contribution of healthcare support workers in England and their exceptional support of nursing and nursing practice.

Sally Flitcroft and Sarah Bryan received Dame Ruth May’s Chief Nursing Officer Awards for their contribution to the development of clinical support workers and their commitment to quality of care.

Clinical Education Officer, Sally Flitcroft, said:

“It is an incredible honour and privilege to receive this award and I’m truly thankful that I was nominated.”

The Education, Learning and Development team said: “It was wonderful to celebrate all of our colleagues who received awards. It was great to take the time to reflect on and celebrate all things learning and the team would like to say a huge thank you to all involved!”
