Local mental health and community NHS Trust, Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP), is asking for local people to make a difference in their community by standing as a governor.
The nomination window to become a CWP governor opens on Thursday 11 July, just a week after the country went to the polls for the General Election. It closes on Thursday 8 August.
Chair Isla Wilson comments: “We’ve seen how much the NHS means to our communities in the general election, where it was a hot topic of discussion. We are now asking local people to make a difference by becoming an NHS governor, representing the views of their community and influencing key decisions.”
“If you are passionate about improving healthcare services and want to be a voice for your community, please get in touch.”
As an NHS Foundation Trust Governor, you will:
- Represent your community’s interests
- Influence key decisions
- Work with healthcare leaders
- Drive positive change
- Work as part of a team
People can be elected as a service user, carer, staff or public governor.
A healthcare background isn’t required to be a governor. More information about the requirements to become a governor and how to apply is available on the CWP website, via email or phone.
