Staff on Mulberry Ward, Macclesfield have paid tribute to their friend and colleague, Wendy Simms who passed away following a short illness. Wendy worked for the Trust for 30 years, most recently as a staff nurse on Mulberry Ward and was loved by all her patients and colleagues.
In her memory, the team got together to fundraise at this year’s Macclesfield Running Festival. 12 staff members ran distances between 5k and half marathons – an amazing achievement. Thank you to everyone who supported the team to raise £2185 for East Cheshire Hospice which was chosen by Wendy’s daughters.
