CWP Wirral Children and Young People's Autism Team
Criteria: Children and young people aged four to 16 years open to Wirral Children and Young People's Mental Health Service (CYPMHS) for assessment and intervention for moderate to severe mental health difficulty. This service only accepts internal referrals for autism assessments for people already open to CYPMHS.
Referral to CYPMHS can be made via the MyMind website.
Before agreeing with family to screening
Case manager to check for any previous neurodevelopmental assessments and gather all other available reports, for example: educational psychology, speech and language therapy abd occupational therapy reports.
Staff to book a consult with member of neurodevelopmental team who will meet and complete a screening document to assess if screening is appropriate.
