Staff enjoy Health and Wellbeing events

12 October 2016

More than 100 CWP staff have enjoyed a series of Health and Wellbeing events hosted by the Trust’s Occupational Health (OH) department.

The events in Wirral marked the launch of new work to support staff health and wellbeing across the Trust. The work forms part of the Trust’s developing ‘Our People’ Health & Wellbeing Strategy.

Colleagues were encouraged to take part in new initiatives, and to come up with healthy living ideas of their own.

A host of staff signed up to the Trust’s ‘Pedometer Challenge’, whilst others were offered travel benefits and free access to the Wirral Council’s ‘Dr. Bike’ scheme.

OH’s Health and Wellbeing Coordinator Sarah Fairman said: “We appreciate our staff work very hard and so we want to support them to be able to live full and healthy lives.

“The Trust is committed to supporting staff health and wellbeing.

“We understand that everyone is different and will have their own personal preferences. These events provide an opportunity for staff to tell us what activities and initiatives they would like to be made available.

“I’m pleased we’ve had so much engagement from our staff in Wirral. We look forward to holding similar events across West Cheshire and East Cheshire very soon.”

CWP’s Health and Wellbeing Strategy is part of the Trust’s ‘Our People’ campaign, which ensures CWP is the best possible organisation for staff, carers and service users to work and receive care.
