Our Learning Disability Service Respite Units provide short breaks for adults with learning disabilities and who also have additional complex needs. These additional needs may include challenging behaviour, or profound and multiple disabilities.
The staff at the respite units aim to provide a welcoming, professional and sensitive service to their service users and carers. They provide professional support to service users on a 24-hour basis.
Access to other professional groups such as social workers, community nurses and individual therapists is available dependant on individual service user’s needs.
Each service user has an identified member of staff who is responsible for coordinating their care plan.
To access the Adult Respite Care service, please speak to a health professional or social worker. They will be able to make a referral if they think our service can help.
